ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Hanne Larsen (She/her) is a director/choreographer, actor, and dancer. She is a graduate of Northeastern University where she majored in Theatre and minored in both International Affairs and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. Her last directed work for the stage in New York was The Sex Myth: A Devised Play, which premiered at Soho’s HERE Arts Center in 2017. She is currently a student in Gibney’s Professional Training Program on the Choreographic Process track and just made her first dance film Facing In/Facing Out. When she isn’t in the studio, Hanne can be found enjoying the nature Prospect Park has to offer or cooking up a new recipe in the kitchen so gummy bears aren’t her only consumed food group. You can see updates on upcoming projects on her Instagram @hanneliis (www.hanneliislarsen.com).

Non Kuramoto is a soon to be icon and a New York based Japanese actor, comedian, writer, and feminist-art-slut. She uses laughter and absurdity as tools to elevate voices of Asian women, experimenting with various art forms to find the funny in paranoia, identity crises, and depression. She is part of NYC’s first Asian American sketch group, Model Majority Comedy. Non made her Off-Broadway debut in The Sex Myth: A Devised Play. Her play, The Fart Play (I’m Sad): A Dance, was produced at Nasty Women Unite Festival. Her web series “Non Kuramoto (Former Master Electrician)” is available on Vimeo, and you can see her show NONSENSE at New Women Space every first and third Thursday at 8pm.

Sherill-Marie Henriquez (Nivi Tormenta) is an actor and cabaret performer based in Brooklyn. When she is not performing, Sherill-Marie works as a teaching artist and college success coach in New York City public schools.

Isabel Quinzaños Alonso is a theatre maker (read – director, producer + administrator). She was born in Mexico, trained in England, and currently lives and works in New York. She is lucky to pay the bills working as a Development Associate for The Public Theater. Her interests are: physical theatre, human psychology, excel spread sheets, and really good doughnuts. She is thrilled to be working with this remarkable ensemble to produce the Gibney Certification Piece you’re watching.

Shawn Lawrence (Flight) is a dancer, actor and singer. He has lived in New York going on 3 years now. Originally born in Jamaica then to Cleveland Ohio before ending up NYC. Some of his hobbies include but are not limited to gymnastics, drawing, and anything outdoors. He is happy to be a part of this process and can’t wait to see the outcome of it. IG: @shawn_flight
