GIBNEY ONLINE SUMMER STUDY CONNECTS DANCERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD FOR A UNIQUE, TWO-WEEK EXPERIENCE.

The program is designed to build a supportive network, expose students to new and challenging ideas and movement styles, and share strategies for responding to COVID-19 and building a sustainable career in the performing arts.

The program includes a curated schedule of:

  • 16 Movement Classes
  • 4 Creative Process Sessions
  • 6 Artist Panels + Professional Development Discussions
  • 4 Performance Screenings
  • Regular Check-Ins with Staff, Faculty, and fellow students

Online Summer Study is closed to a limited number of participants per session. Students receive individual support and guidance throughout the program. Classes, Creative Process Sessions, and Panels will be closed to program participants only to foster a greater sense of community and connection.

ONLINE SUMMER STUDY DATES:
Session I: Monday, June 15 – Friday, June 26
Session II: Monday, July 6 – Friday, July 17

Sessions take place 12:00pm – 6:00pm EDT Monday – Friday.

APPLICATION DEADLINES:
SESSION I: Monday, June 1, 11:59pm EST
SESSION II: Monday, June 22, 11:59pm EST

NOTIFICATION DATES:
Applications will be reviewed upon submission and students will be notified no later than June 3 for Session I, and June 24 for Session II. 

The final schedule and Zoom links will be distributed the week prior to the session, provided payment has been submitted.

TUITION:
$400; Partial Scholarships Available

ELIGIBILITY:
All applicants must be 18 years of age or older by the start of the program. Gibney does not have a maximum age cap for this program. 

Students will need access to stable Wi-Fi, a computer or tablet device with a working camera, access to Zoom, and some space for daily movement classes.
