Presented as a performance/seminar guided by a passionate dance archivist, Ringelblum uncovers the elusive legacy of an imaginary historical dance – one that no witness can quite remember, yet all revere. With animated testimonials, visual aids, and reconstructed performances by dancers Ingrid Kapteyn, Louise Benkelman, and Emily Pope, the evening blurs fact and fiction to explore how sentiment often shapes memory more than truth.
Ringelblum is a meditation on nostalgia, the limits of documentation, and the meaning we assign to the past.
