Twelve original works by emerging choreographers developed under the mentorship of Doug Varone. A highly selective program run by Doug Varone and Dancers, “DEVICESChoreographic Intensive & Mentorship Program” provides artists with the creative devices to mine, build and mold their work in an open and sharing environment between mentor, choreographer and dancers. Presenting this year’s choreographers: Marika Brussel, Grace Deane, NiNi Dongnier, Mat Elder, Leslie Garcia, Joanna Lees, Bethany Logan/Wild She Dances, Joshua Pacheco, ANAHATA Dance, Peter Stathas, Ayako Takahashi | Ayalis in Motion, and Hollis Bartlett

For more than 30 years, Doug Varone and Dancers has toured the world, commanding attention for its expansive vision, versatility, and technical prowess. On the concert stage, in opera, theater and on the screen, Varone’s kinetically thrilling dances make essential connections and mine the complexity of the human spirit. The Company is equally well-regarded for its intensive workshops and residencies which attract leading students and choreographers from around the country.
