About the Workshop

Teaching is an extraordinary profession. A dancer enters the studio and trusts you with their instrument, their body. This relationship is full of rich possibilities and responsibilities. This course discusses and practices the many pathways we have to be the best we can be at this, as it is not what you teach; it is how you teach it. The day will begin with a technique class that intensive participants are required to take or observe.

On Friday, there will be an Elements of Performing: One-day Workshop. For one day, the focus will be on just that, focus. How does focus enhance, change, and support our movements? With the many choices we have focally, we will learn and practice how subtle changes will add to what we want to communicate and support us technically.

* The morning technique class will be open to drop-in students, 10:00 AM – 11:45 PM
daily. $25 per class. Sign up here!
