This class connects imagery, musicality, and spirals to aid a more harmonious and qualitative way of working. This vertical and weight-bearing practice promotes healthy bones and muscles while fostering curious minds.
About Roger Van der Poel
Roger Van der Poel is a Portuguese-Dutch award-winning dancer, whose dance career includes Ballet Gulbenkian, Geneva Ballet and, from 2006-2020, the acclaimed Nederlands Dans Theater.
As a freelance artist, he works with chuthis., teaches, coaches and stages works by NDT-associated choreographers worldwide.
Roger was awarded the Dutch Zwaan for best dance performance of 2008 and the Encouragement Prize 2007 by the Stichting Dansersfonds’79 in Amsterdam.
About SpringboardX Pop-Up Series
Slip into the universes of seven unique artists who are navigating and transforming the fabric of our field. The series of 3-hour pop-up workshops offers an opportunity to broaden your perspective through physical exploration and open dialogue.
Held virtually, each 3-hour pop-up will include a warm-up, repertoire or exploration, and a meet-the-artist talk. Springboard Artistic Director Alexandra Wells and members of the creative core team are excited to observe the workshops.
