Workshops will take place via Zoom from July 13-August 6. A single workshop costs $40 and each additional workshop has a discounted cost of $20 each.
Each 3-hour session includes technique, repertory/exploration/improvisation, and a ‘meet the artist’ discussion.
Marla Phelan melds dance and theater techniques to enhance performance magnetism and to discover the efficiency in movement for a sustainable career. Physical training, including improvisation and floor work, is followed by building choreography that uses gestures, levels of energetic output and dynamic rhythms to tell a story. Through the exploration of character and intention, we will inject humanity into the physicality of dance.
