Chanel H. Frazier is the Chief of Staff to the Head of Multi Asset Strategies and Global Fixed Income at BlackRock. She focuses on supporting the global investment businesses by leading cross-functional strategic projects, and driving optimization in business organizations and global communication strategies.
She previously served as Tax Counsel in the Corporate Tax team at BlackRock, advising on the firm’s critical initiatives, including restructuring and acquisitions, as well as driving key talent and engagement efforts. Prior to joining BlackRock, Chanel worked at PwC and at the law firm of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP.
Chanel is also deeply committed to philanthropy and for six years served as a member of the National Board of Directors of the “I Have a Dream” Foundation. She was the first alum in the organization’s 35+ year history to serve on its National Board of Directors.
As a result of her ongoing community involvement, Chanel provided two keynote conversations at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. Chanel spoke during the 54th Session of the Commission for Social Development and during the 60th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
Chanel is a firm believer in the arts as a valuable tool for personal and professional development As a result, she enjoys taking acting and improv comedy classes in her spare time.
Chanel earned her A.B. in Government from Dartmouth College, her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
