Donna Costello is a Brooklyn based dance artist who creates, teaches and performs in process-driven work that blurs the lines of dance, theater, and performance. As an independent dancer, she has worked with a multitude of choreographers performing in diverse settings like public parks, landmark buildings, alleys, apartments, pools and bank vaults. Highlights include dancing for jill sigman/thinkdance, Shannon Hummel /Cora Dance (founding member), Carrie Ahern, Jimena Paz, Vicky Shick and Kelly Bartnik.  She has performed at The Joyce Theater, Danspace Project at St. Mark’s Church, Chocolate Factory Theater, Movement Research at Judson Church, the Park Avenue Armory, Dance Theater Workshop, PS 122, The 92nd St Y and more. She has shared her own work in New York, Virginia, New Orleans and Mexico; including the co-producing of a mini FemFest for 10 femme and female-identified artists in 2018 alongside collaborator Jennifer Sargent.  She has taught as a dance educator for leading NY cultural institutions and in public schools for over 20 years.
