Emily Singh grew up in Queens, NY. At Baruch College, she is majoring in Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with an English Minor. Emily is a Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society member. At Baruch, she is the Treasurer and editor of Encounters magazine. At 15, she started writing poetry; her poems were published six times in Encounters Magazine. Emily performed at seven open mics. In 2019, she performed her spoken word titled Gentrification-Closer than Four Score at Baruch’s freshman year convocation. She previously was a part-time paralegal for six years and interned at NY City Council for District 23. Interning in development at The Joyce Theater Foundation reaffirmed her passion for the arts. Having a new appreciation for dance brought her to Gibney. After graduation, Emily wants to become an Assistant Director of a nonprofit dedicated to arts and social justice.
