Kat is one of the few world-class ballerinas who danced with both NYCB and ABT. She also performed in Zurich Ballet, Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and countless other companies. She has shared the stage with ballet greats like Rudolf Nureyev, Margot Fonteyn, Cynthia Gregory, and Fernando Bujones. And Kat’s studies are well-grounded. She began at the School of American Ballet, is ABT certified in all levels, including Pas de Deux, and is sought after in the USA and abroad for master classes at schools, colleges, intensives, companies, and Broadway shows. Kat’s pedagogy, technique, artistry, and attention to the dancer are unmatched.
Adult Ballet
Kat is altogether witty, rigorous, and welcoming – encouraging for professionals and beginners alike. Her classes are a dancer’s safe place – noncompetitive, nonjudgmental, and nurturing. She brings many styles to classes, from extensive studies of Balanchine, Vaganova, Cecchetti, Royal Ballet, and ABT. With special attention on placement, injury prevention, and careful, anatomically sound work, classes are also extremely “danceable,” emphasizing musicality, harmony, line, and stage presence.
