Mack Longley (she/her), originally from Southington, Connecticut, relocated to Brooklyn, New York, to pursue a career in arts administration, dance performance, and education. She attended the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts before earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance with a minor in Arts Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Mack cultivated her interest in social justice dance and non-profit arts operations through interning with the Justice Dance Performance Project in Hartford, CT, under Judy Dworin. Alongside this work, she developed a passion for teaching through her involvement with UNCSA’s ArtistCorps community engagement program. In addition, she performed with CT-based contemporary dance company Garet&Co., led by Garet Wierdsma, and began her career in education as an artist instructor at both the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Full-Day and Half-Day Programs. Mack is thrilled to join the Gibney community and contribute to its mission!
