Rachel Davis (she/her/hers) was born in Wuhan, China and raised in Millington, New Jersey. She is a professionally trained ballet dancer, having studied at the New Jersey School of Ballet for fifteen years. She had the opportunity to perform corps de ballet and soloist roles with New Jersey Ballet for several seasons as a member of their Junior Company. She attended summer intensives at American Ballet Theater (New York), Joffrey Chicago, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet, among others. Rachel graduated from Wesleyan University and received honors in Dance and Government for her thesis entitled In and Out of Step: Dance Diplomacy in the United States. Previously, she worked in development at the School of American Ballet, interned for photographer Rosalie O’Connor and at the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and assisted choreographers Kyle Abraham and Jessica Lang in and out of the studio.
