Resonance Movement with Sangman Pyo
Jun 16, 2023, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm EDT
As a classically trained dancer in traditional Korean style, Sagman Pyo brings the method of finding the path of movement through breath to this training course. The goal is relaxation and expansion, which focuses on expanding the area of feeling and sensation felt from our actions rather than expanding the physical mobility of the body.
The course is divided into three categories:
1. Joint Exercise – Bringing awareness to one’s joints and re-recognize their alignment structure
2. Breathing – Using our breath to expand the body, open joints, and feel the space in the margins that exist between the joints
3. Voice – Adding voice to the passage of breath to feel the vibration of sound that spreads from within the entire body to outside the body
