Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Roberts graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with a degree in Theater with an emphasis in Design & Production.
Roberts spent 5 seasons at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in roles such as Production Intern, Sound and Video Apprentice and Sound and Video Supervisor. There he oversaw all audio video needs for the entire 10 week festival.
Since moving to New York City, Roberts has worked for companies such as Chelsea Factory, Live Production Labs, St. Ann’s Warehouse, UMBC (again!) and L&M Sound and Light. Additionally, he worked as the Interim Project Based Technical Manager for New York Live Arts and the Technical Director for Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company’s Curriculum II. Roberts was also the touring Technical Director and Sound Supervisor for the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts’ second national tour of Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! – One of his favorite projects to date!
In his free time he enjoys finding new and delicious food, going down youtube rabbit holes on mundane and tedious topics and sitting around waiting for White Lotus season three to come out.
