Andrew McShea (he/him), originally from Leesburg, VA, began his training in ballet and jazz at the Loudoun School of Ballet. He earned a BFA in Dance from Point Park University, under the direction and mentorship of Rubén Graciani. While at school he performed pieces by MADBOOTS Dance, Bennyroyce Royon, and George Balanchine. Professionally, Andrew has worked with DanceWorks Chicago, Gallim Dance, Peter Stathas Dance, Seattle Dance Collective, and Whim W’Him Seattle Contemporary Dance. During his four years with Whim W’Him he took part in the creation of, and performed in new works by Bret Easterling, Emilie Leriche, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Maurya Kerr, Hannah Garner, Joseph Hernandez, FLOCKWorks, Mark Caserta, Rena Butler and more. Andrew was featured in Dance Magazine’s 2023 “25 to Watch” article. He has also shown his own work in Seattle through organizations such as Velocity, CO—, and Cornish College of the Arts. Andrew joined Gibney Company as an Artistic Associate in 2024.
