Ann Francis Ang was born and raised in San Francisco, and trained with the San Francisco Dance Common’s teen company. During her time in San Francisco, Ann Francis has worked with Kimi Okada, KT Nelson, Dexandro “D” Montalvo, and Katie Faulkner. In addition to performing with the teen company, she has also been a rehearsal assistant for their seasonal production of “The Velveteen Rabbit.” Ann Francis will receive her BFA in Dance at Adelphi University in the spring of 2019. Since attending Adelphi University, she has performed works by Orion Duckstein, Adelheid B. Strelick, Joy Douglas, Jennifer Kreichman, Christopher Fleming, and Aszure Barton’s “Blue Soup.” She has also performed repertoire by Pascal Rioult and Paul Taylor. Ann Francis interned at Rioult Dance NY for their 2018 season at The Joyce Theater, working within their arts administration department and outreach program. Ann Francis started her center internship with Gibney in May 2019. This upcoming fall, Ann Francis will be attending the London School of Contemporary Dance.
