Karen Kitchen (she/her) is an experienced curator, producer, and arts administrator. For 18 years, she was the lead producer of acclaimed public arts program Arts Brookfield, the cultural arm of the global real estate giant Brookfield. Involved in every aspect of the program, Karen was responsible for curation, program development and management, production and marketing. She has broad producing experience with particular passion for site-specific visual/multimedia installations, music concerts and dance performances designed for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Karen was a lead producer for the Mile Long Opera “off-sites” presented on The High Line in October 2018. In addition to her role as Executive Producer of Gibney Company, she currently works as a producer and curator on various large-scale public art projects in New York City. Karen holds a B.A. in Art History from the University of Maine, and a M.A. in Art History from Oberlin College.
