Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Malvina Lorida started dancing in a very young age and performed with several different dance companies in Athens. She later started studying Dance Education in Germany until she got transferred to the Dance Department of Hunter College, where she received her second Bachelor Degree in Dance. She later got her MFA in Arts Leadership from Savannah College of Arts and Design, at the same time with the realization of her festival that called All Souls Festival and its mission is to make space for disability in the arts. Having a strong background in dance, aerial acrobatics and professional Pilates and yoga training, Malvina has an incredible passion for the body and its relationship with the mind. Aiming to use movement to heal and to offer back to her community, Malvina’s ambition is to achieve equality and inclusion in the arts, together with community building. Her style of movement focuses on maintaining a flow during a complete practice that blends stillness and powerfulness and includes the training of the inner and outer body. According to her philosophy, embracing movement is a gift to the body and mind that helps them achieve a healthy relationship and balance.
