Nolan, a proud native of Maine, embarked on his movement journey at 15 through his high school’s performing arts program in Saco. He honed his craft at the George Mason University School of Dance, where he received formal training in ballet, contemporary ballet, contemporary dance, floorwork, Limon technique, and fall and release. During his time there, he had the privilege of working with renowned choreographers such as Larry Keigwin, Doug Varone, Robert Battle, and Rafael Bonachela. As an undergraduate, Nolan also created four original works: Capricious, Cynosure, Divinyl Ether, and Longing for What’s Behind You. Now based in New York City, he thrives as a freelance artist, continuing to explore and push the boundaries of dance.
