A series of pop-up fundraising workshops in collaboration with Gibney.

Creative Workshop with Lea Ved

Here is an invitation to open a world with me, to awaken states of mind to channel something of your own physical language as I share mine with you. We will bathe in subtlety and allow it to grow in the landscape of your intimate space, the floor, in refinement, and an exchange of choreography through visual art, writing, and sound.

About Lea Ved

Lea Ved is a dance artist, teacher, creator, and collaborator from the USA.  Since earning her BFA from The Juilliard School, she has danced with RUBBERBANDance Group, The Royal Swedish Ballet, and is now with Nederlands Dans Theater.  She has created with Victor Quijada, Alexander Ekman, Sharon Eyal, Hofesh Shechter, Wim Vandekeybus, Crystal Pite, and performed the role of “Julia” in Mats Ek’s ‘Julia and Romeo’.  She has choreographed at GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, NDT’s Switch Program, and Korzo Theater.

About SpringboardX Pop-Up Series

Slip into the universes of seven unique artists who are navigating and transforming the fabric of our field. The series of 3-hour pop-up workshops offers an opportunity to broaden your perspective through physical exploration and open dialogue.

Held virtually, each 3-hour pop-up will include a warm-up, repertoire or exploration, and a meet-the-artist talk. Springboard Artistic Director Alexandra Wells and members of the creative core team are excited to observe the workshops.
