POSTPONED: Filming Dance
May 19, 2020, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm EDT
$25
After careful consideration of the news regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), Gibney has decided to postpone this event. More details coming soon.
If you’re in marketing or digital media, at some point you’ll probably find yourself pointing a lens towards performers: contemporary dancers in a theater or studio, ballerinas in a blackbox, or maybe just a few friends who have a cool idea for a project. Dance or otherwise a large part of our craft is capturing movement. How we go about it greatly affects the final video. In this class, we’ll cover the different aesthetics that we use to film dance well, and how to avoid certain pitfalls to ensure that the documentation of your next dance production is as great as the live performance.
