After a decade of DiP, what’s in store for Gibney’s DiP: Dance in Process Residency? Join Gibney’s Performance and Residencies team this fall for two Community Listening Sessions to discuss one of Gibney’s longest-running programs. Formed in 2012, the Dance in Process Residency has supported 71 resident artists since its inception, and is one of the NYC dance ecology’s primary residency opportunities supporting mid-career artists.

Welcoming discussion and feedback on artist needs and desires around the residency, Gibney Producer Sarah A.O. Rosner will offer a facilitated conversation for attendees to discuss what feels most needed and useful in terms of mid-career artist support at this point in time and share information about upcoming application cycles. Whether you’ve been a DiP Resident, applicant, or panelist in the past, or are thinking about applying for one in the future, we’d love for you to be a part of the discussion.

We are offering two, online listening sessions: Thursday, September 23rd at 7pm and Wednesday, October 13th at 11am over zoom. Both events are free, but RSVP is requested.

The zoom session will have automated captioning; if you have additional access needs for either session, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing Artist Coordinator Constanza Armes-Cruz at constanza@gibneydance.org and we’ll do our best to facilitate. If you can’t attend either of the sessions but would like to submit thoughts or feedback, please feel free to email Sarah A.O. Rosner directly at sarah@gibneydance.org.
