Stream Micaela Taylor’s EYESOW
As Gibney Company reimagines new ways to support our community during this time, we are excited to offer an opportunity to stream Micaela Taylor’s beautiful 2019 work, EYESOW. Micaela was the inaugural Gibney Company/Springboard EMERGE Choreographic Award Recipient and created EYESOW for Gibney Company’s 2019 Spring Season: EMERGE. Creating and performing this work with Micaela brought us so much joy. We hope it does the same for you.
The EMERGE award aims to actualize young artists’ burgeoning visions and develop them toward becoming creative leaders in the field. EYESOW inhabits three women who are yearning for connection. Connection to one another, a deeper revelation of identity, and purpose. Through effort, rigor, and discontentment, they go on an ongoing search to find what is right in front of them. Nonetheless, they come to realize whatever they reap, they sow.
