Gibney Dance Company members will share the foundational structure of Gibney’s Move to Move Beyond workshop model which is offered at domestic violence shelters. This Community Action Workshop is an evidence-informed model drawing from artistic practices to address issues of choice, self-care, and self-expression.

No dance background necessary! Come wearing comfortable clothing to move in.

Co-presented by Gibney Community Action’s first partner, Sanctuary for Families, Cracks of Light is part of Gibney’s annual observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In this performance series, Gibney bears witness to stories of gender-based violence and invites audiences to expand the boundaries of gender and explore the concept of transformation.

Presenting performances by Arielle Rosales, Nana Chinara, Gender/Power, and Sanctuary for Families’ Survivor Leaders.
