Community Actionist

Joey Mattar is a New York-based performing artist. He holds a B.F.A. in Dance Honors from Wayne State University and has recently performed in works by BAIRA, Malia Lam, and in self-choreographed projects with collaborator Eric Blovits and Anneloes Van Schuppen. Joey also manages F45 West 42nd St., where he leads high-intensity group fitness classes. He’s is a certified personal trainer, Pilates instructor, and brings his passion for movement and connection to his work with Gibney’s Hands Are for Holding program.
