What You’ll See

Gibney Company performs an excerpt of Johan Inger’s Rain Dogs, a kinetic contemporary work inspired by the image of a dog that ventures beyond its territory, only to lose the scent of home when its trail is washed away by rain. Set to the gravelly soundscape of Tom Waits, the work explores disorientation, identity, and the often-contradictory nature of human connection with irony, grit, and emotional depth.
