Joan Dwiartanto

Artistic Associate

Joan graduated from The Juilliard School’s Dance Division in 2022 where she performed works by choreographers such as Aszure Barton, Ohad Naharin, Justin Peck, Or Schraiber, and Bobbi Jene Smith. After graduating, she joined YYDC under the direction of Yue Yin, and also worked as a swing dancer for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago in their 2024-25 season. She also has a passion for filmmaking and was selected as the Gold Standard Arts Foundation Commission Dreamer awardee. Joan first started with Gibney Company as a Guest Artistic Associate in Johan Inger’s Bliss last fall, and joins the company full time this 2026-27 season.
