Zoë Rubenstein

Operations Associate

Zoë Rubenstein (she/they) is a movement & teaching artist, arts administrator, and accessibility activist based in Queens, NY. Originally from Georgia, Zoë began her dance education at Southern Arc Dance, before studying to receive her BFA in Classical Ballet from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Zoë holds a certificate in teaching Mat Pilates, granted by Carrie Pages, and has extensively studied Alexander Technique and Pilates Pedagogy to further her understanding of physical wellness. She most recently studied at Sarah Lawrence College to receive a BA in Disability Studies & Sociology of Public Health. Aside from her education and interest in the performing and teaching arts, Zoë is passionate about making dance and movement-centered spaces more accessible–She founded the SLC official Disability Alliance, as well Co-founded a collaborative arts organization known as The Happenstance Collective. Zoë strives to use her experience in dance education & non-profit operations to help build accessible programming and artist-centered environments across NYC.
